When we started 8000Kicks, we wanted to make a pair of versatile shoes for every occasion. Shoes stylish enough for the office, but also waterproof and casual for the outdoors. Something sustainable that will last a long time, without using any animal products or compromising the planet. We have succeeded in our mission.. Our 1st model, The Explorer, is a pair of waterproof shoes that is perfect for rainy and sunny days alike.
They are lightweight and comfortable for long walks, and stylish enough for more formal situations. Vegan, durable, recyclable, and almost completely compostable, these are the world's best waterproof hemp shoes.

Carbon Neutral
Hemp is nature's favorite fiber. From the moment we drop the first hemp seeds the plant is already capturing CO2 from the atmophere. Althought there are emissions during the manufacturing and transportation processes, we are actively planting trees for every trees for every order sold to make sure we offset every tiny bit of CO2 and keep pur plant green.

Natural and Compostable
When building our shoes, our biggest concern is to make them vegan. Animal by-products most often then not lead to animal suffering. Our second concern is to make them as natural as possible. If we leave no impact manufacturing or disposing of the shoes, then we have the world's most sustainable shoes.
Our Seeker model is 99% biodegradable, using rubber soles and hemp upper.
Our Explorer model is 90% biodegradable using algae plastic soles and hemp upper.

Unlike leather, Hemp is very pourous fabric allowing for breathability. Hemp is also anti-bacerial and anti-microbial. Because of these two properties, at the end of the day your feet will be much healthier and for sure less smellier.

Water repellent hemp?
Our sustainable kicks are for the people with active lifestyles. We built them to provide the best experience under any condition, and that’s why we made them water repellent.
They have a dual layer protection: first water repellent wax coated fabric that keeps them clean, and second a waterproof membrane that keeps all liquids out.
Temperature regulating shoe
Winter, spring, summer and autumn! Temperature regulating shoes come in handy wherever you go. Specially if they are breathable and even better if they are sustainable shoes.
Insulation is one of the natural properties of hemp and for that reason, Hempcrete is starting to get really popular in construction. At 8000Kicks, we use the exact same hemp properties to keep your feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Temperature regulating shoes
As well as being waterproof, our shoes are temperature regulating, which means they’ll keep your feet comfortable regardless of the temperature.
They are breathable and, even better, sustainable. Insulation is one of the natural properties of hemp, so Hempcrete is starting to get really popular in construction. At 8000Kicks, we use those exact same hemp properties to keep your feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

That’s why we made our hemp shoes fully waterproof.
Our kicks have a dual layer protection: a water-repellent wax-coated fabric and a waterproof membrane that keeps your feet dry no matter what.
Flexible & lightweight algae soles
The soles of our shoes are made of upcycled algae, collected from rivers and lakes affected by algal blooms. We sponsor the cleaning of those bodies of water by using them for our soles.

Besides helping the planet, our algae shoe soles are super lightweight and flexible, providing maximum comfort to our customers everyday.

I am not sure which size to pick!
Every brand has their own system and sometimes even models from the same brand differ from each other. But here's how you can find your shoe size.
Select a comfortable pair of sneakers and look at the CM/JP number. That's their maximum fit in CM, therefore your feet will be smaller. Then go to the 8000Kicks table and look for a size with the same range.

Your size is not on the list ?
We are always opening new sizes. Half sizes, bigger and smaller, you are gradually opening new sizes as our company grows.
What if the shoe doesn't fit? Refunds?
We want to get you in a pair that fit right, and that you love wearing. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 60 days of receiving your 8000Kicks to arrange for a replacement, exchange, or refund. Footwear must be in new condition, with no signs of wear, and in original packaging. All returns require a return authorization from 8000Kicks Customer Service. We reserve the right to require a photo of the footwear and unfortunately we can’t offer free return shipping.
Free Shipping and Returns?
We currently have free shipping to the US and EU.
We do not offer free returns in Canada, UK, Australia, NZ, Switzerland, Norway, but we are working on it.
Is there a warranty? Are they durable?
Unfortunately we don't have a warranty because shoes are subject to maximum wear and tear. However, from our experiences both our hemp and our soles have performed very well on our "torture" tests and we can confidently say that they are stronger than any branded sneakers in the same price range. We also tested over 10 types of different glues to find a perfect fit that would survive under the harshest conditions.
However, if for some accident or problem our shoes do not perform as expected, please contact us and we can deal with it and issue a replacement pair if necessary.
Can I smoke the shoe?
Do you really want to smoke our shoe? XD
Hemp is the sober cousin of marijuana, which means that it has no psychoactive components, less than 0.3% THC, which means that technically you are definitely not getting high. Now seriously, please note that smoking the shoe is not a good idea and might get you hospitalized.
Can I take this on a flight? Will police dogs come after me?
8000Kicks are 100% legal everywhere in the world. Our team has traveled to Italy, France, USA, Canada, Morocco, Portugal and many other countries without any issues. Hemp is the sober cousin of marijuana, which means that it has no psychoactive components, less than 0.3% THC, definitely not a drug. In some countries it is illegal to cultivate hemp, but it is 100% legal to buy and sell finished hemp products like soap, paper and apparel as long as it is produced abroad.
