At 8000Kicks, we believe that creating products is more than just designing and manufacturing. It is about listening, learning and co-creating with those who have been with us since day one.
From hundreds of messages and suggestions, we identified a clear need: to create a sustainable hemp backpack that was truly bike-friendly, resistant to urban use and versatile enough to adapt to any routine.
The Commuter is the answer to that challenge. A modular hemp backpack, vegan, made with fair trade practices and designed to accompany an active and conscious lifestyle.
From idea to final product
Through conversations with cyclists, urban workers and loyal customers, we realized that traditional backpacks always had the same flaws: low adaptability, poor durability and high environmental impact.
Based on this feedback, we began an intense prototyping phase. We tested formats, structures, zippers and carrying modes. We made adjustments based on real-life experiences. Every detail was refined until we found the right formula.
The result is the Commuter, a sustainable hemp backpack built to last and to transform with its user.

Fits laptops up to 16’’. Features an anti-scratch lining for maximum protection. Can be used inside the Commuter or as a standalone lightweight laptop bag with a detachable strap.
Toilet Bag
Perfect for travel and daily routines. Includes a hanging hook, removable shower pouch, pill compartment and foldable design for use inside or outside the Commuter.
