When we started 8000Kicks, we wanted to make the world's most sustainable shoes, while making them versatile, stylish and durable. And that is precisely what we have done. Now we are happy to introduce our sustainable backpacks.

Our backpacks are totally carbon neutral. We start absorbing CO2 from the moment we drop the first hemp seed on the floor, and although we have emissions during the manufacturing and transportation processes, those are being offset by the thousands of trees we are planting.

Waterproof and Dustproof

Our hemp fabric has been built to repel fluids from coming in. First we added a proprietary coating layer that protects the fabric and its properties from stains, liquids and dust particles. This will make the fabric very easy to clean as well.

Hemp is also a super durable material, that will make your sustainable backpack last years before it wears out.

We start absorbing CO2 from the moment hemp is harvested to your doorstep delivery. Because of this, we have planted thousands of trees to offset any emissions we let off during manufacturing and transportation processes. Hemp doesn’t require herbicides or pesticides to grow and is durable enough to survive with little maintenance. What are sustainable backpacks?

Sustainable backpacks, as any sustainable product, are backpacks that are built with sustainable materials and renewable resources, therefore not compromising future generations.

8000Kicks products are totally vegan, and they incude a llimited ammount of synthetic materials, as hemp is a plant based fiber. Hemp is fast growing plant that needs no pesticides of fertilizers to grow, it consumes 5 times less water than cotton, and it even captures a lot of CO2 from the atmosphere, making our product totally carbon neutral.
Do sustainable backpacks last?

A sustainable backpack is not inferior to other backpacks in terms of durability. Materials differ and the same way a cheap non-sustainable backpack will break easier, a cheap sustainable backpack will also break faster. That's why our backpack is not cheap, because we have used quality components to build it.

Hemp is very durable and it was used by Henry Ford to build some cars. Our hemp fibers are tested in the lab to guarantee nothing but the best durability and the best results, this guarantees total customer satisfaction, or a replacement if it breaks under 6 months.
Are waterproof backpacks sustainable?

Not all waterproof backpacks are sustainable, it all depends on the materials.

8000Kicks backpacks are waterproof and sustainable because they were built that way. The outer hemp fabric has a bio wax soy coating that repells liquids from coming in. Then we have added a waterproof membrane that keeps liquids out no matter what. This membrane made of PU, a synthetic material used to make vegan shoes.

No PFCs, teflon or other harmful toxic quimicals was used to make our backpacks waterproof.

How to clean sustainable backapacks?

Each sustainable backpack should be cleaned in a different way depending on the materials they are built with.

Our backpacks are made from premium hemp fibers and we recommend washing them dry using warm water, soap and a kitchen scrub. We do not suggest machine washing as it might damage the backpack's ability to reppel water.
What if I don't like it? Refunds?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 60 days of receiving your 8000Kicks to arrange for a replacement, exchange, or refund. Products must be in new condition, with no signs of wear, and in original packaging. All returns require a return authorization from 8000Kicks Customer Service. We reserve the right to require a photo of the product and unfortunately we can’t offer free return shipping to some countries.

We do not offer free returns in Canada, UK, Australia, NZ, Switzerland, Norway, but we are working on it.
