8000Kicks travel backpacks are made from industrial hemp, a Sativa branch, known as the sober cousin of marijuana. Industrial hemp has been used since 8000 BC, and its properties include being anti-bacterial, needing no fertilizers and almost no water to grow, hemp cleans and restores the nutrients in the soil, and it is also very durable. In fact, Hemp is so strong that Henry Ford even built a car out of it. We are pioneers in the development of hemp and our goal is to bring back this powerful natural fiber and make amazing travel backpacks!
Our hemp fabric has been built to repel fluids from coming in. First we added a proprietary coating layer that protects the fabric and its properties from stains, liquids and dust particles. This will make the fabric very easy to clean as well.
Hemp is also a super durable material, that will make your vegan backpack last years before it wears out.

8000kicks travel backpacks, as any vegan product, are backpacks that are built without animal components. This includes leather, wool and also animal based glues, as they are made from animal bones.
Travel backpacks are important because they imply 0 animal suffering and a lower carbon footprint.
8000Kicks products are totally vegan as hemp is a plant based fiber.
Do travel backpacks last?
A vegan travel backpack is not inferior to a leather shoe in terms of durability. Materials differ and the same way a cheap leather shoe will break easier, a cheap vegan shoe will also break faster. That's why our backpack is not cheap, because we have used quality components to build it.
Hemp is very durable and it was used by Henry Ford to build some cars. Our hemp fibers are tested in the lab to guarantee nothing but the best durability and the best results, this guarantees total customer satisfaction, or a replacement if it breaks under 6 months
Are travel backpacks waterproof?
Not all travel backpacks are waterproof.
8000Kicks backapcks are waterproof because they were built that way. The outer hemp fabric has a bio wax coating that repells liquids from coming in, as well as a waterproof membrane that keeps liquids out no matter what.
How to clean travel backpacks?
Each travel backpack should be cleaned in a different way depending on the materials they are built with.
Our backpacks are made from premium hemp fibers and we recommend washing them dry using warm water, soap and a kitchen scrub. We do not suggest machine washing as it might damage the backpack's ability to reppel water.
What if i don't like it? Refunds?
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 60 days of receiving your 8000Kicks to arrange for a replacement, exchange, or refund. Products must be in new condition, with no signs of wear, and in original packaging. All returns require a return authorization from 8000Kicks Customer Service. We reserve the right to require a photo of the product and unfortunately we can’t offer free return shipping to some countries.
